4 L-Band Over 1 Fiber Transmitter

Low cost L-Band optical multiplexing and transport system for 4 full bandwidth RF carriers within the 50-3000 Mhz frequency range. This platform integrates 4 independent optical RF modulator circuits with CWDM lasers and internal optical multiplexing passives. This system allows long distance transport and remote location of satellite antennas from receiving equipment. Another application is for point to multipoint distribution of satellite services from a single antenna over single mode fiber optic cable. This is an unmanaged system with no settings or adjustments to configure. Parameters such as laser current and working temperature are automatically regulated by an onboard microcontroller. This system is designed to reduce the cost of fiber optic multiplexing of satellite carriers over a single fiber. Each channel provides DIP switches on the rear panel to control LNB powering voltage (either 13 or 18VDC) and 22kHz control tone for controlling polarity locking in a dual LNB system. This further reduces implementation costs by removing the need for a polarity locker.
